What a gift from the Lord, to be able to take a hobby or interest and use it for Him! That is just what one family in PRBC has had the opportunity to do. The Phelan family, memebers of PRBC, have turned their passion and family past time of running into a ministry. After competing in many local races, and seeing many of the same people at the races, they realized that this could be a great mission field, right here in Orange County. After much prayer, it was realized that a good way to make a statement for Jesus at the races was simply through wearing a T-Shirt and prayer before races. In the inaugural "Running With Christ" race at the Chester Kiwanis Habletonian 5K on Saturday, May 27, 2006 that is what the family did. The t-shirt made an impression on at least one person who commented on the Bible verse on the back.

. In running races, those who finish in the top three overall, and those, male and female, who finish in the top three of their age group are paraded in front of the crowd to accept their trophies. Because of this our t-shirts got added exposure as Hannah, age 7, took third place in the 11 and under age group.

. Sarah, 13 years old, took third place in her age group of 12 to 15 year olds.

. And Jim took 4th place overall and 1st in his age group, 40 - 49 year olds.
